Description
Formulated with the latest polymer technology, FP-550 features exceptional leveling, ease of application, high initial gloss, durability and superior burnish response. It is intended for use across a variety of maintenance programs, from low maintenance with little or no burnishing to high speed programs with frequent burnishing. FP-550 is an excellent choice for building service contractors who need a high solids “dri-brite” finish that can be easily scrubbed and recoated, and will dry to a high shine without burnishing, providing a fast return to service for the floor. FP-550 exceeds the Coefficient of Friction safety standards of ASTM Designation D-2047..
Directions
APPLICATION - Use standard application procedures with a good quality rayon or synthetic blend string mop, or flat pad microfiber, applying thin to medium coats of FP-550. Allow 30 minutes of dry time between coats or before opening to traffic. As many coats as needed may be applied without intercoat attack, provided each coat is allowed to dry completely. Note: On a bare, stripped floor, four or more coats may be required to achieve the highest level of gloss.
Occasional high speed buffing of FP-550 will prolong the life of the polish and increase safety and durability, as well as increase shine and appearance. A propane buffer equipped with THERMAL GLOSS pads will achieve excellent buffing results, but any good quality high speed (1000+ rpm) buffer will achieve suitable results.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE - Use SURTEC LF-150 at 1 or 2 ozs. per gallon of water for damp mopping or scrubbing. Burnish as necessary for gloss recovery.
RECOAT - Scrub the floor with a low speed buffer or automatic scrubber and blue or green (medium scrub) pads using LF-150 Heavy Duty Cleaner at a dilution of 2 to 4 ozs. per gallon of water to achieve a clean surface. Rinse the floor with clean water and let dry, then apply one or more coats of FP-550, allowing each coat to dry before applying subsequent coats. The last coat may be burnished for gloss enhancement.
STRIPPING - If stripping is necessary, use SURTEC L.O.S, SUPER STRIP or THORO-STRIP according to label directions.
