DURASHINE floor polish utilizes the latest polymer technology to create a product that combines the ultimate in durability, gloss and safety. Featuring exceptional leveling, ease of application, high initial gloss and superior burnish response, DURASHINE can be adapted for use in all types of maintenance programs, from low maintenance/non-buff to high speed maintenance programs.

DURASHINE is an excellent choice for building service contractors who need a high solids “dri-brite” finish that can be easily scrubbed and recoated, and will dry to a high shine without burnishing, providing a fast return to service for the floor.

DURASHINE exceeds the Coefficient of Friction safety standards of ASTM Designation D-2047.

APPLICATION - Use standard application procedures with a good quality rayon or synthetic blend string mop, or flat pad microfiber, applying thin to medium coats of DURASHINE. Allow 30 minutes of dry time between coats or before opening to traffic. As many coats as needed may be applied without intercoat attack, provided each coat is allowed to dry completely. Note: On a bare, stripped floor, four or more coats may be required to achieve the highest level of gloss.

Although not necessary because of DURASHINE’s high initial gloss, occasional high speed buffing DURASHINE will increase shine and appearance, increase safety and durability and prolong the life of the polish. A propane buffer equipped with THERMAL GLOSS pads will achieve excellent buffing results, but any good quality high speed (1000+ rpm) buffer will achieve suitable results.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE - Use SURTEC’s LF-150 at 1 or 2 ozs. per gallon of water for damp mopping or scrubbing. Burnish as necessary for gloss recovery.

RECOAT - Scrub the floor with a low speed buffer or automatic scrubber and blue or green (medium scrub) pads using LF-150 Heavy Duty Cleaner at a dilution of 2 to 4 ozs. per gallon of water to achieve a clean surface. Rinse the floor with clean water and let dry, then apply one or more coats of DURASHINE, allowing each coat to dry before applying subsequent coats. The last coat may be burnished for gloss enhancement.

STRIPPING - If stripping is necessary, use SURTEC L.O.S., or SUPER STRIP according to label directions.
