History
Surtec, Inc. was founded on January 6, 1975 by W.A. Fields and Don C. Fromm
We knew that we could make a difference by developing and producing truly unique
chemicals and maintenance programs!
W.A. “Bill” Fields, President
had over 17 years of sales and consulting experience with two national chemical manufacturing companies prior to starting Surtec in 1975. His experience has been in designing maintenance programs to address the cleaning and coating needs of many types of customers by selecting the proper types of chemicals and systems to accomplish their needs and training the maintenance personnel in the proper implementations of these systems. The final key is ongoing, on-site inspections and routine surveying of the results in each facility.
DON C. FROMM, Vice President and Director of Research and Development
Don C. Fromm, a Graduate Chemist, had over 24 years experience as a development chemist with National Companies prior to starting Surtec. He also serves as a court-appointed expert witness for slip and fall defenses.
Founding Principles
Our founding principles were to develop and manufacture superior products for the cleaning and maintenance industry to produce exceptional results while at the same time consistently reducing the overall cost of completing the job. In order to offer superior products at competitive pricing and the highest level of training and factory support, Surtec markets directly to the end user customer. Surtec’s continued innovation in the development of Products, Programs and Procedures are supported by “hands-on” factory trained Surtec Technical Representatives that work directly with our customers in the implementation and training on the proper use of our products to consistently obtain superior results.
