| Most maintenance finishes will not bond to a floor coated with a dense, aluminum oxide fortified urethane protective coating, which |
| is typically used on wood flooring in a retail store environment. |

| While this type of coating is very tough and durable, it will eventually wear through in high traffic areas. |

| The Biggest Problem! |
| Although these types of floors will last for a long time with very little maintenance, when restoration becomes necessary, the entire floor coating needs to be sanded off and then resealed. Only then can the floor can be maintained with a maintenance floor finish. |

| This process is very costly to achieve, very dusty to complete and can, particularly on engineered hardwood, cause severe and permanent damage. |

Surtec has developed a complete program for restoration and maintenance of wood flooring in the retail environment, which is simple and easy to achieve. |

| First |
| First - If a floor is partially worn, it can be prepared for Surtec Bond Coat using Surtec’s “Dustless” Wood Floor Restoration System. The Surtec Polivac vacuuming floor machine removes the old seal only in the worn areas and prepares the remainder of the floor for the application of Surtec Bond Coat, a product developed by Surtec to achieve superior adhesion. |

| Second |
| Second – Application of Bond Coat. Surtec has developed Bond Coat as a sealer that will adhere to the aluminum oxide fortified urethane wood coating, as well as, bare wood. Surtec has also developed a variety of maintenance coatings that can be applied over Bond Coat. If recoating is necessary for badly worn floors or for spot recoating in high traffic areas apply Surtec Hydrothane Matte. |

| Third |
| Third – Application of Surtec Hydrothane Matte. Hydrothane Matte is a low gloss, urethane acrylic wood floor coating with catalyst added for superior durability, much like that of a high performance gym floor coating. |

| Now the floor is ready for application of the selected Surtec maintenance floor finish, from a high gloss to a matte finish. Now also available in a low sheen. |
